SUBSIDISED SESSIONS

Fieldwork offers a series of subsidised & free strategy sessions yearly.

This season we offered free strategy sessions to Black artists,  artists of colour and those or those of the global majority who are either Welsh, Wales based or wanting to build career opportunities in Wales. These sessions have now all been allocated / completed.

Phoebe regularly works with artists, creatives, arts spaces and media agencies to offer:

  • 1-1 sessions focussed on artistic practice & career development

  • Fundraising & commissioning support (application writing)

  • Strategy for sustainable career development (forging long-term support)

  • Partnership and touring consultancy (budget, schedule & production planning)

  • Group professional development workshops

Phoebe has worked in the arts for over 15 years with a practice that bridges education, research and producing. Phoebe is dedicated to supporting artists’ professional development and has a breadth of experience delivering projects for galleries, institutions, theatres and artist-led spaces. Her experience spans securing funding from Arts Council England, the British Council, UK trusts and foundations, development funds, international academic and arts partners, private giving and sponsorship.  She has led professional development workshops for numerous institutions including, Somerset House Studios (London), Spike Island Associates (Bristol) and Mostyn (Llandudno).

Key knowledge areas include: social practice, film & video, visual arts, sound, dance, performance & live work, print & self-publishing.

She has worked with hundreds of artists from all backgrounds and at all stages of their careers. She prioritises working with artists who have historically been excluded and may identify as: POC, queer, disabled, working-class, Celtic (with a focus on Welsh/Wales based).

Fieldwork Artist Support

BOOKING

Phoebe offers 1-1 sessions in the last week of every calendar month. Her time is in high demand, normally the 1-1 sessions are booked up 6-8 weeks in advance. If you need an urgent / last minute 1-1 session, feel free to email her to see if she has had any cancellations and you can be added to the waitlist.

If you are looking for Phoebe to support you to develop a grant application, it is advisable to contact her at least 2 months prior to the deadline so she can ring-fence time.

RATES

Strategy session (1.5 hours): £90

Fundraising, application consultancy (day rate, 8 hours): £300

Phoebe’s fee is respective of experience and covers her access costs, childcare and UK inflation rate.
