The Fieldwork Studio is a Community Interest Company situated on Slade Farm Organics, a three generation family farm tenancy in the Vale of Glamorgan. The studio’s activities are shaped by sisters Phoebe & Polly Davies, who work across the culture and agriculture sectors respectively.

Fieldwork Studio centres cross sector learning and knowledge exchange, providing activities and services which broaden our community’s knowledge across arts, ecology, and organic farming.

Our Community Growing programme is led by Polly’s partner Graeme Wilson who has a background in public policy, delivering research and consultations for national and local government. The programme regularly host workshops, tours, work placements, residencies and public events which provide opportunities for people of all ages to build new skills and experiences. 

The Fieldwork Studio CIC aims to: 

~ Broaden knowledge and raise awareness of arts, rural ecology, farming, biodiversity and the environment 

~ Promote equality and diversity in the arts and/or agricultural and environmental sector and foster understanding between people from diverse backgrounds

~ Increase career options in arts and/or agriculture and/or environmental sector. 

~ Increase the visibility of rural culture and the arts

~ Increase rural economy & arts economy

~ Improve health and wellbeing of the community, and bring the local community together and increase active citizenship.
